LAW6070 Torts

This course introduces civil liability wrongdoing resulting for injuries to persons or property. Covered topics include the law of liability imposed for personal, property and economic harm; intentional torts; strict liability (including products liability); negligence (including professional malpractice); contributory negligence, comparative negligence; assumption of risk; immunity; affirmative duties; causation; duty; and elements of damages. The course will include consideration of social institutions and practices and their effect on this area of law. Prerequisite: None
