LAW6040 Criminal Law

This course introduces the principles that underlie liability for criminal conduct. Covered topics include the definition of crimes and the principles of punishment, the required acts and mental states necessary for liability, and defenses to and justifications for conduct. Attention will also be given to accomplice liability, inchoate crimes, crimes against property, crimes against persons, and crimes against habitation. Prerequisite: None
