LAW8000 Externship I

Under the supervision of a practicing attorney and faculty supervisor, students learn about the lawyering process firsthand by interning in the private or public sector and attending a classroom component. Students develop reflective learning and problem-solving skills, increase their substantive legal knowledge, explore issues of professionalism and ethics, and gain a deeper understanding of the legal system and the practice of law. Field placement must be approved by the Associate Dean for Experiential Learning. Prerequisite: Professional Responsibility
