LAW7030 Constitutional Criminal Procedure

This course examines constitutional principles governing the admissibility of evidence in criminal proceedings and regulating the conduct of criminal prosecutions, primarily focusing on the pre-trial stages. Covered topics include the exclusionary rule; probable cause; arrest; search and seizure; electronic surveillance; compelled self-incrimination, immunity, and confessions, identification, right to counsel, preliminary hearing and pre-trial motions.
