CSP 56 Increasing Returns to Economics

This CSP course expands and builds on the content covered in Econ 102, thereby engaging students more deeply with the topics that are critical for a strong foundation in economics and related fields. The course will address questions related to poverty, income inequality, education, and climate change. Information will be presented through real-world examples that engage different sub-fields in economics and related disciplines. Increased analytical training will prepare students to address social issues using the tools of economics. Through the CSP course, students will also have the opportunity to learn and practice writing a researched essay about current topics related to economics such as the economic costs of climate change or the rising levels of income and wealth inequalities in the U.S.
