SPAN 398 Community Translation Practicum

The goal of the Community Translation Internship is to provide students with an experiential understanding of the practice of translation. The Community Translation Internship allows students to learn through direct experience the different steps in the translation process as well as examine the challenges that bilingual professionals face in their efforts to reach out to underserved populations such as the Spanish-speaking communities. All students enrolled in the Community Translation Internship work with a community-based organization for an average of 8 hours a week.
