NUR 262 Health Promotion Role

This didactic course will provide the student
with concepts related to the Health Promotion
role. It is designed to present students with
strategies to promote health such as motivating
persons to work toward overcoming health issues,
utilizing technology to promote healthy behavior,
advocating for health awareness, consulting, case
managing, and developing programs that promote
healthy living. A portion of the course will
focus on the seeking of funding for these
programs through grant writing and developing a
business plan. Prerequisite: NUR 203 (may be
taken concurrently).
