NUR 206 Educational Theories, Principles and Methods in Nursing

This course is designed to prepare students for nursing practice as educators. The focus of this course is to develop a complete educational plan from needs assessment to evaluation for students healthcare professionals, clients, and communities of interest. In the role of nursing educator, students will learn how to influence changes to improve healthcare outcomes.

Assignments successfully completed in this course will serve as a foundation for additional coursework in subsequent Nurse Educator track courses particularly NUR 208 and NUR 294.

Prerequisites: Admission into the MSN program and graduate standing. Successful completion of NUR 203 (may be taken concurrently).
