CYB 106 Networking I/ CCNA® 1 & 2

This introductory networking course is the first part of the Cisco Systems Networking Academy® CCNA curriculum. This first semester of a two-semester course covers Network Fundamentals and Routing Protocols and Concepts, and helps prepare students for Part 1 of the CCNA exam, Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices Part 1 (ICND1 640-822), the CompTIA® Network+ exam, and the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA 640-802) certificate exam. Topics include networking terminology and protocols, Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), the Open System Interconnection (OSI) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) layered models, cabling, router, router configuration, Ethernet, Routed (IP, IPX, and Apple Talk) and Routing Protocols (RIPv1, RIPv2, EIGRP and OSPF), Internet Protocols (IP) addressing, Access Control List, and network standards.
