DWA 340 Junior Seminar: Contemporary Issues in International and Human Rights Law

International law has taken an increasingly central, and often controversial, place in contemporary international relations. This junior writing seminar will explore the foundations of international law, human rights law, and humanitarian law. It will do so in the context of their intersections with topical issues that range from international criminal law, torture, non-state transnational actors, humanitarian interventions, and sexuality, and will have a particular focus on the theoretical foundations for human rights. Open only to DWA majors with junior or senior standing.
