BUS 162 Marketing and Planning for Healthcare Organizations

Health care marketing is the promotion of an organization’s products or services to increase its value, making it an integral part of the management of all healthcare organizations. The healthcare system poses a variety of marketing challenges for managers due to the services and products it provides, and its unique competitive, regulatory and ethical environment. This course will study the fundamentals of marketing as they are applied across a broad spectrum of healthcare organizations to address these challenges. The course will investigate the role that marketing plays in the strategic management of healthcare organizations.
