Byrnes-Quanbeck Library

The Byrnes-Quanbeck Library contains both a physical collection of books, periodicals, and DVDs and an extensive online collection of ebooks, audiobooks, journals, newspapers, and other multimedia resources geared toward the academic needs of Mayville State University students. The library’s databases can be accessed either on or off-campus using your MSU username and password.

Through the library’s online catalog, you can explore and locate materials available at the library. Online students can request items be mailed to their home. Materials unavailable at the BQ Library can be borrowed through Inter-Library Loan from participating libraries around the world.

The BQ Library has a variety of study and meeting spaces. The 24-seat Quiet Room can be reserved for campus groups and classes by contacting a librarian. Other study spaces feature a variety of seating including balance balls, bean bags, lounge furniture, and tables/chairs.

The BQ Library is also home to other entities including two rooms connected to the Interactive Video Network (IVN), the MSU Writing Center, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Mayville Area Teacher Center, and MSU STEM’s (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) collection of educational kits.
