MP 101 Symphonic Band
In conjunction with the Oregon State University Department of Music, provides an opportunity for participation in a symphonic band. Note: May require an audition. An unsuccessful audition will result in disenrollment. May be repeated three times for credit.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of context in a varied repertoire of music through prepared wind ensemble and wind symphony performances appropriate for a first year symphonic band member. Develop strategies to address technical and expressive challenges in a varied repertoire of wind ensemble and wind symphony music appropriate for a first year symphonic band member. Read and perform music at a level appropriate for a first year marching band member.
