Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the objectives of police patrol work. Identify and describe the civil liability that may attach to encounters with the public. Understand the basics of field communications and protocol. Understand and identify those situations in which the use of force is authorized. Understand the basics of traffic law enforcement, crimes in progress protocols, and police report writing.
