POL 150 Modern China: Politics and Culture

This course examines the journey resulting in today's political and cultural transformation of the People's Republic of China. Topics include: ancient Chinese political and cultural practices; the Communist road to power; the political and cultural effects of the Communist revolution; the post Mao era; and the political, economic, legal, social and cultural China of today.
