CAD 106 Introduction to Design with Computers

An introduction to architectural design with building construction fundamentals. Topics include hand drawing, green building concepts, efficient use of space, simple 3D design and model construction, 3D-design software, data collection and analysis and the Scientific Method. Using their creative process students will construct a model building incorporating green-building concepts while keeping the artistic nature of architecture in mind. This course will help students who are interested in any field that relates to the building industry or real estate, animation, gaming and engineering
