CHM 101 Inorganic Chemistry I

Inorganic Chemistry I (CHM 101) is a first-semester course for students who intend to major in chemistry or a related field of study that requires a minimum of one year of chemistry. Topics covered include the study of matter, measurements, atoms, molecules and ions, nomenclature, the electronic structure of the atom, the periodic table, chemical reactions and equations, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, chemical bonds and structures, and the physical behavior of gases. Honors sections will do further in-depth research and presentations as well as a research paper.
