CSP 5 The ASSETS (Aspiring Scholars Studying Economics to Succeed) Program

This CSP course expands and builds on the content covered in Econ 101, thereby engaging students more deeply with the topics that are critical for a strong foundation in economics and related fields. The course will address questions related to racial and gender labor market inequalities, immigration, and incarceration and crime. Information will be presented through real-world examples that engage different subfields in economics and related disciplines. Through the CSP course, students will also have the opportunity to learn and practice writing about current topics related to economics such as rent control, the 2008 Great Recession, and hyperinflation.
