DWA 377 Rising Nations: The Political Economy of the BRIC Countries and the Challenge to US Leadership

Junior seminar on the global impact of the rising nations of Brazil India Russia and China--so-called BRIC countries--the growth of their economies and their growing political and economic influence on global power arrangements--and an analysis of the US response to the rise of these nations in the post-Cold War era of globalization. What is the intellectual justification of the course?
