SJSD 151 The Body Politic

This course will deal with the origins of the idea of the body politic and its implications for the LGBTQ+ communities. It will apply these ideas to contemporary issues as illustrated by some of the laws that have been enacted and are being proposed on the state and national levels. What are the hopes and fears that American citizens and especially the body politic use to clothe the human body.
