RST 141 Introduction to Christian Ethics

This course introduces students to the theory, praxis, central figures and major themes that shape both traditional and contemporary approaches to understanding moral experience and action. While engaging the classical themes surrounding the nature and content of moral obligation, this course pays special attention to the questions, concerns, and contributions to Christian ethics that stem from the experiences of the marginalized, whether that is due to race, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexuality, class, nationality and/ or ability. Both RST 41 and RST 141 may be repeated for credit. GS-VA3.
