FLM 285G Architectural Photography

This course engages students in the production of quality food and beverage photography in a professional environment. Topics include the areas of hot and cold foods, location and studio set- ups, and advertising and editorial differences. The workings of the food studio and the interaction between photographer and food stylist are presented through lecture and studio demonstration. Emphasis is given to research, preproduction and cost analysis that would prepare the student to meet the highest industry standards. Color theory and composition are emphasized. The class builds on concepts that are applicable to both still and motion cinematography. Cross-listed with FLM 190.
