BIO 156 Data Analysis and Leadership Training

Students enrolled in this course will analyze survey data related to the disparities in cancer incidence around the world.  Students will analyze the environmental, policy, access and nutritional causes linked to health and compare them between the US and other parts of the world. Students will attend a leadership training and examine factors associated with a successful career in the sciences.  This course will also equip students with effective oral and written presentation skills culminated with an attendance at a local and/or national conference. Lecture 3 hours.
