Global Politics with a concentration available in Global Women's Studies
Major Description: The Global Politics major has been developed within the Mount's social justice framework, with a solid basis in both global context and academic theory. The goal of the major is to foster students who are both engaged in the world at large and academically competitive. Global Politics majors will have a strong background in issues and theory in Global Politics, will participate in international learning experiences and develop research skills in preparation for graduate school as well as a wide array of careers with global emphases. Global Politics majors who opt for the Global Women’s Studies concentration will be well grounded in their knowledge of feminist theory at its connections to global politics and development policies. The major serves the Mount’s mission of graduating students who are "committed to using their knowledge and skills to better themselves, their environments, and the world."
