Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Recognize and protect personal boundaries in the healthcare environment. Differentiate between adaptive and nonadaptive coping mechanisms. Recognize the emotional effects on persons involved in an emergency situation. Demonstrate self awareness in responding to an emergency situation. Summarize and apply (as appropriate) the theories of Maslow, Erickson, Kubler-Ross, and Vgotsky.
