This course builds upon Medical Terminology and Body Systems I and II to provide a comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology. Students will communicate, document, and comprehend terminology as it pertains to medical specialties, reports and patient data.

Prerequisite: MO 5.631 Medical Terminology and Body Systems II with a grade of "C" or better.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Read, comprehend, and utilize medical reports.|Read, comprehend, and utilize patient case studies.|Bundle all skills learned in Medical Terminology I, II and III into a cohesive and complimentary skill set capable of functioning in clinical setting.|Communicate with, and differentiate between, various medical specialties.|Identify combining forms, procedures, test, disorders, and abbreviation that pertain to obstetrics, child health, cancer medicine, radiology, and psychiatry.
