SPA 309 The Theme of Justice in Spanish Lit (Taught in Spanish)

3 hours

How is justice handled in Spanish literature? How was it handled in the past and how is it handled today? How are injustices addressed? Is revenge ever a form of justice? Is the treatment of justice universal or does culture play a role in the way justice is handled? This course seeks to answer these questions as they apply to Spain through an exploration of the works of Spanish writers from the Middles Ages to the present. The course will be taught entirely in Spanish.
