Dual Credit Advantage - B.S. in Health Sciences to M.S. in Health Sciences

Students who meet the eligibility criteria below may substitute three specified courses from the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences core curriculum for three specified courses in the Master of Sciences in Health Sciences program.  Two of the courses are included in the Master of Sciences in Health Sciences core curriculum while the third is included in the Population Health Concentration. This dual-credit advantage option enables students to accelerate completion of a graduate degree. Moreover, courses I this option are billed at the undergraduate tuition rate.

Eligibility criteria include: 

1. Successful completion of 90 undergraduate credits;

2. Successful completion of ENG 310 and HSC 303, Professionalism in Health Sciences

4.GPA of 3.5 or higher 

Dual-Credit Courses:

HSC 6600 Foundations of Community and Health Education in place of HSC 323 Health Education and Principles of Teaching,

MGT 6400 Global Leadership in place of HSC 333 Leadership for the Healthcare Professional,

HCA 7720 Health Policy and Economics in place of HSC 380 Healthcare Policy in the Population Health concentration

Courses taken at the graduate level fulfill requirements for both the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and the Master of Sciences in Health Sciences programs. 

Students must complete and submit the Dual Credit Advantage intent form (located in the Health Sciences Student Handbook and the Health Sciences student organization site) and submit the form to the Health Sciences Program Chair for review. Eligible students will receive advisement from the Health Sciences Program Chair regarding course selection.
