Pre-RN Option
Purpose
The Pre-RN Option is aimed exclusively at eligible second level associate degree nursing students who are waiting for clinical placement at their home institutions. This option will allow nursing students to earn credits toward their BSN on a part-time basis before completing their Associate Degree in Nursing at the partner institution. The Pre-RN course of study is initially denoted as a RN to BSN Major, so students benefiting from financial aid remain in a degree-seeking program.
The Pre-RN option includes specific upper division courses and HLT electives that include high profile contemporary topics. The Pre-RN students will enjoy the benefits of socialization and mentoring opportunities while taking courses with RN to BSN students.

Students must complete any lower level core requirements before enrolling in the Pre-RN Option. Pre-RN course selection includes the following:
