SPE 271 Intercultural Conversation: Training and Practicum

Native English speakers can earn one college Credit while assisting international students as speech tutors. Tutors will learn and apply techniques needed to facilitate conversation groups that will help second-language students deal with the intricacies of spoken English. After orientation sessions, tutors will be assigned a conversation group of three to five students with whom he/she will work for one hour each week. Faculty supervision and support will be provided.
