SOC 210 Criminology

This course focuses upon the problem of crime and delinquency in the United States. It is the systematic study of different types of crime, including organized white collar and conventional crime. Theories, causation and the relation of crime to personal and social-cultural changes and conditions will be investigated and discussed. Students are encouraged to attend seminars and to go on field trips to corrective institutions and participate in investigative research. Trends, punishment, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention.
