SCI 255 Science and Medicine in London

This course traces the history and development of scientific thought and Western medicine from ancient Egypt to the modern era. The scientific contributions of Cavendish, Darwin, Faraday, Franklin, Haley, Kelvin, Lister, Newton, Nightingale, Watson and Crick, and Wren, and their impact on modern scientific theory, will be explored in the museums, architecture, and historic sites in London and its environs.
