PSY 206 Social Psychology

This course introduces the student to the scientific study of how individuals think, feel and behave in social situations. It applies the scientific method of systematic observation, description, and measurement in the study of the human condition. It involves the student with such human issues as personal attraction, love, conformity, aggression, stereotyping, helping others, and the importance of the situation in determining behavior. It also addresses issues of gender roles, discrimination, prejudice, racism, sexism and warfare.
