PLG 102 Legal Research & Writing

This course is designed to teach students how to find relevant case law, administrative law and statutes in the law library. Use of research tools such as digests, encyclopedias, state and federal reporters and statutory codes will be covered. Students will learn how to integrate research results into written legal memoranda, briefs and other legal writings. The art of citation and Shepardizing will also be covered, as will an introduction to computerized legal research using Westlaw.
