OCC 103 Occupational Therapy Skills

This course is designed to introduce students to various evaluation and treatment tools utilized by occupational therapists. In addition, students are provided with an in-depth look at the human skeletal, muscular and nervous systems. Students are guided through each evaluation tool including, but not limited to, the evaluation of the upper extremity as well as evaluating coordination, sensation, edema, ROM and strength. Students will also be instructed in rationale and procedures for splinting and various treatment interventions.
