MUS 120 Pluralism and Diversity Music in America

This course explores the diversified elements of music and how it has evolved throughout the history of American culture. The content will address issues of race, religion, stereotyping, society, gender, class, discrimination, power and customs. The music will include folk songs, jazz, rhythm & blues, classical religious and country and western. Fulfills the Pluralism and Diversity degree requirement.
