HIS 202 American History II

A social/cultural study of the United States from 1877 to the present. The course examines the major political, economic and social changes that have occurred in the United States since the Civil War. Special attention is paid to the democratization of American society and the emergence of the country as the leading nation in the world. Particular emphasis centers on the role of cultural diversity and cross-cultural diffusion in the development of American culture.
