HIS 104 Mystery in History

An exploration of the mysteries and unresolved issues of history, particularly those affecting western culture. Moving from the ancient Middle East to the Americas, the evidence in each situation will be analyzed critically and the reasons for considering the case a mystery developed. In historical reconstructions the course focuses on those cases relevant to the emergence of our modern world, those that present challenging problems and others typical of frauds or manipulated presentations.
