ENG 216 Epic Literature Honors

In this honors literature seminar, students will investigate the origins of the literary epic and its evolution through time. Readings in literary history and criticism will be used to supplement discussion of the course texts. Students will deliver presentations to the class, engage in original research, and write several essays. Readings will span from the epics of ancient Greece, to Milton's Paradise Lost, to contemporary epics such as Middlesex.

(ENG 101 or ENG 103) and (ENG 102 or ENG 104)
