EMT 101 Emergency Medical Technology I

This course is designed to provide the education needed by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to administer patient care in the out-of-hospital setting. It covers all techniques of emergency medical care presently considered within the responsibilities of the EMT as well as all operational aspects of the job, which the student will be expected to perform. This course includes preparatory material, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway management, patient assessment and trauma. Demonstration, practice, clinical and field experience are carefully integrated with the didactic portion.
