EHP 117 Weight Training

The purpose of this course is to focus on weight training and cardiovascular fitness. Free weights, multi-station machines, individual machines and aerobic equipment are used for increasing strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. Techniques of self-testing, pulse rate monitoring and percent of body fat test will aid the student in exercising at his/her own pace. Students will design individual workouts based on pre-test results and model workout programs. This is an excellent course for both men and women, providing guidance for the beginner and opportunities for the advanced weight-training student to improve.
