PSY 160 Art Therapy I

A joint offering of the Art and Psychology Departments, this course explores the psychology of artistic expression through discussion of theory and the production of artistic work. Theory covers such topics as the unity of personality, life cycle, expressive drawing and painting, abstracting, perceiving, and expressive and perceptual tests. The student will participate in production of art with a view to understanding its significance in the expression of personality.
