Chapter 31 – Vocational Rehabilitation for Service Disabled Veterans
For those veterans with a compensable, service-connected disability that results in an employment handicap, training programs and rehabilitation are generally available during the 12 years following the date of discharge or notice of disability compensation. Up to 48 months or more of educational assistance may be authorized to cover the full cost of tuition, books, fees, supplies and equipment with interest-free loans available to meet unexpected expenses while in school.
