"No person in the United States shall, on he basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance..."20.U.S.C. § 1681

In accordance with Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Rockland Community College does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its educational programs, activities, admissions or employment practices.  Title IX protects students and employees, not male and female, from unlawful sexual harassment, including sexual misconduct.  Any act involving sexual harassment, violence, coercion, and intimidation will not be tolerated.  The College strictly prohibits the offenses of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
