Why Study Computer-Assisted Design?

The Computer-Assisted Design Certificate is for students who want to acquire the necessary skills needed to obtain entry-level employment in a variety of drafting fields.

Occupational Objectives:

The certificate is for students with or without previous educational experience. Upon completion of the certificate, students will be prepared for entry-level employment as a CAD operator or a design technician in specialized fields of Architectural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

Program Goals:

The certificate provides students with the skills needed to create, edit and produce basic design drawings. Students also gain basic design skills and an understanding of the software used to create and edit computerized drawings.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
