CORE 95 Building your Academic Skills: Strategies for Academic Success and Finding Home at Oxy

The goal of this course is to provide students with knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities that will support their academic success. Course content will include strategies and opportunities to: enhance academic reading and study skills, build campus social and resource capital for first year, transfer and first generation students; develop comfort with Oxy campus and college life; and facilitate social and academic integration. Through guest lectures and workshops, students will be introduced to campus resources and opportunities and offered academic techniques and strategies for successful learning. Open only to frosh.
