THEA 310 Acting 2: Scene Study

Acting 2 advances the techniques and skills introduced in Acting 1. Students will continue to explore character development and scene work through an array of texts and styles. While Stanislavski-based acting systems and methods are one jumping off point, students will also explore other acting methods that will help them become more flexible, daring, collaborative, and creative performers.  In the process students will learn how to act with increased freedom and to create characters with genuine psychological complexity, accumulating tools and skills applicable to working both on stage and on screen.
