THEA 143 Latin Dance

Students explore the rich traditions of Latin Dance from its origins in the African diaspora found in Cuba, Caribbean and Latin American nations as well as the influence and effect of these dances throughout popular Western culture. Students embrace through performance various dance forms developed in Mexico and throughout Central and Latin America and study the place and importance of the dances in Latin cultures.
