CTSJ 219 Triumphs and Tribulations of Title IX

This course examines the scope and impact of Title IX in educational settings from its passing in 1972 to the present day. Students will explore two main areas of sex-based violations: 1) sports and discrimination and 2) sexual harassment and sexual assault. Drawing on critical theory, students will research and interpret case studies involving Title IX violations.
