Proficiency in Writing: Two-Stage Requirement
Occidental College encourages students to use writing for inquiry, learning, thinking, and communicating. At Occidental, we strive to help students develop the habits of writing and critical thinking needed for composing effectively both within and outside of the academic community. We require students to demonstrate proficiency in college-level writing by completing a Two-Stage Writing Proficiency Requirement.
